Courses and Events

Courses and talks are given by authorised Buddhist teachers from the UK and other parts of the world who have many years of meditation experience. While our weekly programme is free of charge, we will have to ask for contributions to cover the costs for these courses and events. The fees will be clearly advertised.

13-15 May 2010: Weekend Course: The Heart of Buddhism
Topic: The Buddhist Refuge
Teacher: Matt Huddleston (London/Exeter)
Description:

The weekend course will focus on the most central topic within Buddhism: the Refuge. It is about the question what aspects of our lives we can really rely upon: what can be the basis of real happiness - happiness that does not depend on outer conditions?
In four talks Matt, experienced lay buddhist teacher from the South of the UK, will highlight some of the most important aspects, including the Three Jewels, the Three Roots of Realisation and the importance of relying on methods time-tested by a living Buddhist tradition.

These topics are particularly useful for people new to Buddhism. It is possible to attend individual talks. - No prebooking required.
